Season 2 Cut to 18 Episodes
The London Free Press reports that Fox has decided to halt the production of season 2 of Arrested Development at 18 episodes rather than the usual 22. The final episode of the season, and perhaps the series is intended to air on April 17th.
If I may interject a quick editorial: This is bad news for fans of good TV. I'm disappointed that it seems Fox is choosing to kill an award winning show rather than attempting to find it a more workable time slot. 6 million viewers a week has to be worth something somewhere? Perhaps it could be moved to FX?
Update: E! online put a much better spin on the situation.
